One of the main highlights at Ubisoft's E3 showcase this year was the reveal of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. Built for next-gen consoles and PC on an enhanced Snowdrop Engine, Ubisoft has now gone into a bit more detail on the technical side of the game. 

As expected, today Microsoft officially announced Windows 11. A number of the new UI changes were already leaked earlier this month, but now, we have full details on new features, redesigned apps and other improvements.

E3 2021 has officially wrapped up after several days of virtual conferences from major publishers. Prior to the launch of AMD's RX 6000 series of graphics cards, rumours suggested that AMD was working on its own liquid-cooled version of the flagship RX 6900 XT. As time went on, it looked like the liquid-cooled model had been cancelled, but that changed this month. 

We're still a few days away from AMD's second event of the summer, during which the company will reveal the first games to support FidelityFX Super Resolution (FSR) technology. Leaks may have already spoiled the announcement though, with a list of FSR games and developers/publishers supporting the feature appearing online.

It was less than a year ago that SK Hynix started to mass-produced HBM2E, but the memory manufacturer is already working on the next generation of HBM memory. Named HBM3, the next-gen memory promises to deliver speeds of up to 5.2Gbps per chip, which translates into a bandwidth of over 665GB/s.

Dr. Lisa Su, the CEO of AMD, had a great time presenting her Computex keynote address. AMD continues to make inroads in the server and workstation markets with EPYC, while their Ryzen desktop CPUs are the first choice for PC enthusiasts. AMD RDNA 2 graphics are pretty darn good, however there is no denying that Nvidia dominates the graphics market. And then we have laptops to consider and yes, Dr. Su delivered a 'one final thing' moment before she signed off...

During AMD's keynote at Computex, we got an early look at new 3D stacking technology that the company is working on. Using a prototype Ryzen 9 5900X with 3D stacking, significant performance improvements were shown, with games running up to 25 percent faster. 

Intel kicked off Virtual Computex 2021 with a keynote address lasting 40 minutes. We heard from Intel CEO Pat Gelsinger, we saw product demos and we were told about new products that are due to land in the near future. Despite that the response from KitGuru's audience has been brutal, mainly because it simply wasn't very good...

At this point, leakers all seem to be in agreement that the RTX 3080 Ti and RTX 3070 Ti will be announced later this month, but when will the first cards be available to buy? According to sources, the RTX 3080 Ti will be hitting the market in the first week of June...

SSDs are known to significantly outclass HDDs in terms of performance, but Seagate has been developing a new technology to close the gap a bit. Named Mach.2, this new technology features a dual-actuator and two HDDs working simultaneously to deliver a level of performance similar to a SATA SSD.

Following the rumour about an incoming refresh of the Ryzen 5000 series, AMD made a statement confirming its existence and detailing a bit more about them. Unfortunately, it won't be the kind of refresh we hoped for, as it won't bring any performance improvement.

Yesterday, Nvidia confirmed that it is releasing 'Lite Hash Rate' versions of the RTX 3080, RTX 3070 and RTX 3060 Ti with anti-mining measures in place. Some more information has since come to light - LHR versions of these GPUs will be shipping to third-party board partners only, meaning we won't be getting LHR 'Founders Edition' cards. 

Back in February ahead of the launch of the RTX 3060, Nvidia announced its new anti-mining measures to make GeForce graphics cards less desirable to crypto mining farms. We've heard through leaks and rumours that this tech would eventually transition over to the rest of the RTX 30 series line-up and today, Nvidia is making that official.
