AMD Details Zen 4 Ryzen 7000 and AM5 – Launch September 27th

AMD has today given more details on its upcoming Ryzen 7000 Series - Zen 4 - processors and the AM5 platform. Launching 27th September, the Ryzen 9 7950X flagship is touted as having a 29% faster core for gamers versus Ryzen 5000 Series whilst also enhancing power efficiency thanks to the application of TSMC's 5nm process node. Four chips launch on September 27th alongside DDR5- and PCIe 5.0-capable X-Series motherboards, with B-Series boards to follow-up in October.

KitGuru Games: Insomniac’s Spider-Man reaches new heights on PC

Back in 2018, Insomniac Games impressed us all with the release of Marvel's Spider-Man for PS4. Even then in its graphically limited, 30FPS form, the game was something special. Now, Sony has brought the game over to PC, unlocking higher graphical settings, ray-tracing, and unlocked frame rates, allowing us to get the smoothest, high-fidelity gameplay possible. Asus showcases new AM5 motherboards at Gamescom

At Gamescom this week, we swung by Asus's massive ROG booth to get the low-down on upcoming hardware. AMD is currently gearing up to launch its Ryzen 7000 series processors soon, and motherboard makers are beginning to show off what they'll have available at launch. At the event, we got to see the first full set of Asus motherboards for AMD's next-gen CPUs.

You will no longer need a Facebook account for your Quest VR headset starting this month

Back in 2020, upon launching the Quest 2 headset, Meta made it a requirement that Facebook accounts be used to log in to the headset, a policy that caused a lot of issues and controversy at the time. Just one year later, the company changed its mind and began working on a new Facebook-less login system. It has been a while since the last update, but later this month, Facebook logins will no longer be required for VR headsets.

Microsoft claims Sony pays for ‘blocking rights’ to keep certain titles off of Game Pass

Just over a week ago, we learned the official opinions of Sony, Ubisoft, WB, Riot and other companies regarding Microsoft's proposed acquisition of Activision Blizzard. Sony naturally had a lot to say and was particularly concerned with Microsoft's growing hold on the subscription market with Game Pass. Now, Microsoft has had a chance to respond, calling Sony for buying 'blocking rights' to keep certain games off of Xbox.

GTA 6 devs confirm return to Miami, game is at least two years away

Rockstar has said very little publicly about Grand Theft Auto 6. The only official update we've had so far is confirmation that the game is in development. We've seen plenty of rumours about Grand Theft Auto 6 over the past couple of years but few legitimate leaks.
