Ahead of The Witcher 3's launch in 2015, CD Projekt Red promised mod tools as a free DLC post-launch. The mod kit for the game ended up being fairly minimal, offering users ways to edit textures but not much else. Fortunately, CD Projekt Red has now announced plans to expand the game's mod support with a more comprehensive editor.

Nvidia has officially announced plans to participate in CES 2024. The company will be holding a Special Address on the 8th of January to discuss the latest tech releases. 

Back in September, we reviewed the Cooler Master QUBE 500, a flatpack PC case that you build from scratch. It was a concept we could get behind, especially for someone who enjoys building and modding PCs. However, our airflow testing brought up some concerns. Now, Cooler Master has responded to our findings and will be making changes to the case design to improve airflow.

The recent adoption of AI has seen many game publishers look to the technology for assistance with game development. Following the likes of Ubisoft and their ‘AI Ghostwriter’, Microsoft is now partnering with Inworld AI to “allow developers to create AI-powered characters, stories, and quests.”

The Call of Duty games have become increasingly difficult to keep installed on PCs and consoles due to growing file sizes. With this year's entry, it looks like file sizes are going to increase again, going up to well over 200GB.

Following Microsoft’s push into cloud gaming, Sony has started to offer its own streaming solutions – recently enabling PS+ Premium subscribers to stream PlayStation 5 games. In order to help bolster their streaming efforts, Sony has now acquired video specialist iSIZE.

Despite being one of Bethesda Game Studio’s most technically proficient games, Starfield still launched with a number of issues and omissions. Fortunately, alongside improvements to HDR, optimisations and other improvements, the universe-spanning RPG will soon support DLSS 3 – as well as FSR3.
