Seems far fetched, but studies show that gaming actually decreases crime!
The immersive quality of video games is actually so immersive (even more so than movies and TV) that video games keep violent people off the streets. The Centre for European Economic Research worked with researchers in Texas and determined that crime rate actually drops in areas with more game stores. Dr. Michael Ward from the University of Texas asserts, “[Areas with] more game stores are associated with significant declines in crime rates for six of eight categories of crime […] Mortality rates, especially mortality rates stemming from injuries, also are negatively related to the number of game stores.”

“Trine 2 Review – Breathtaking Graphics & Engaging Gameplay”
Last month Trine 2 was released on Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network. It is a wonderful fantasy puzzle platformer with truly phenomenal graphics that have critics raving. After writing an article recently about the incredible reviews for Trine 2, it was time to try the game out for myself, and I’m glad I did!

“Silent Hill HD Collection – Coming in Just 2 Weeks”
Too bad this wasn’t out in time for the holidays. The Silent Hill Collection consists of Silent Hill 2 and 3 with new voiceovers and high-definition graphics. Not long to wait now – just two weeks before the collection is released (January 24th in the US and January 27th in Europe and Australia).
