Marvel Rivals update brings massive Winter seasonal event

Get ready for some festive mayhem in Marvel Rivals! NetEase Games brings winter cheer to its popular hero shooter with a new event starring the Rivals' land shark, Jeff.

Starting December 20th, players can dive into “Jeff's Winter Splash Festival”, a limited-time 4v4 arcade mode inspired by Splatoon. Instead of ink, players will wield Jeff's signature paint-spraying abilities to cover the map and claim victory for their team.

This new mode will also introduce various skins for several characters, including Venom, Groot, Rocket Raccoon, Magik, and Jeff himself. And in a welcome move, Jeff's new outfit will be available for free, allowing everyone to join the winter festivities in style.

Since his debut in Marvel Rivals earlier this month, Jeff the Land Shark has become a fan favourite, sparking countless memes and discussions online. While some players adore him, others find his ultimate move, which involves swallowing enemies and potentially taking them for a fatal plunge off the map, to be slightly overpowered. Despite the controversy, there's no denying that Jeff is a unique and entertaining addition to the Marvel Rivals roster.
