Evil Empire shares 2025 roadmap for The Rogue Prince of Persia

The Rogue Prince of Persia is a slick action-platformer rogue-like from one of the teams behind the equally as fun Dead Cells. Following its early access launch in May, the game received its first major update just last month, adding a ton of new content. Even more is on the way however, with a full 2025 roadmap now being revealed.

Taking to their Steam page, the team at Evil Empire officially announced and unveiled their current roadmap for The Rogue Prince of Persia beginning in 2025, saying:

“Hope you've all been enjoying the Second Act update and everything that came with it! Now we've got that monster of an update out into the world, we can talk a bit about the future and what's in store for The Rogue Prince of Persia in 2025. Behold, the new roadmap!”

Full details on all the specifics can be found HERE, however the main takeaway is that the team are working heavily on the game’s feel in combat and during traversal, while also improving the procedural generation of the levels and their atmosphere – with added environmental interactions and more.

Of course, The Rogue Prince of Persia will also get new content in the form of elite enemies; new bosses; skills and more – with the latter half of 2025 remaining under wraps for now.

Even in its current Early Access state, The Rogue Prince of Persia is a highly fun game with an excellent soundtrack, and so it is exciting to see the team continuing to improve the experience as they work towards its 1.0 release.
