PowerColor, renowned for its high-performance graphics cards, is expanding its horizons with the launch of the Alphyn AH10. This marks the company's first foray into the gaming peripherals market, more specifically, with a wireless gaming headset.
The Alphyn AH10 promises a comfortable design and versatile features. It has three hardware-tuned audio modes – Theater, Gaming, and Music – optimised for different scenarios. The Alphyn AH10 is complemented by Keystone, a powerful software suite to customise and provide access to DTS-tuned audio profiles for gaming, music, movies, and voice chat. It also offers an equaliser to adjust the audio to your liking. Keystone also serves as a unified control center for all PowerColor devices. It can manage the RGB lighting on PowerColor GPUs and seamlessly integrates with upcoming peripherals like the Alphyn AM10 wireless gaming mouse.
The Alphyn AH10 is designed for versatility, offering multi-platform compatibility with PCs, consoles, mobile devices, and handheld gaming systems. Its low-latency wireless connection (as low as 20 ms) ensures responsive audio feedback, and with a 30-hour battery life and fast-charging capabilities (2 hours of use with just 10 minutes of charge), you can enjoy extended gaming sessions without interruption.
Comfort was also a priority when designing these cans, with memory foam ear cushions and high-protein leather ensuring a comfortable fit. Intuitive controls provide access to volume adjustments, audio modes, and the Environmental Noise Cancellation (ENC) microphone, which minimises background noise. Moreover, the Alphyn AH10 comes with 50 mm dual-chamber drivers, a dedicated AMP processor, and DTS Headphone:X technology for 7.1 surround sound.
KitGuru says: If PowerColor's new wireless gaming headset is anything to go by, it seems the manufacturer is opting for a more subtle design for its peripherals. Hopefully, the upcoming Alphyn AM10 wireless gaming mouse will follow a similar line.
