Classic Call of Duty titles could be coming to Game Pass soon

Following the conclusion of the purchase of Activision Blizzard by Microsoft, the console maker began to bring a number of the publisher's back-catalogue to its Xbox Game Pass subscription service. Though yet to be officially announced, it seems as though a number of classic Call of Duty games could be joining the service soon.

As reported by Call of Duty leaker Charlie Intel, “Call of Duty 1, Call of Duty 2, and Call of Duty 4: MW 2007 have shown up on the Microsoft Store for PC. These 3 games appeared on the PC Xbox store with a release date of today (12/9/24).”

According to Charlie Intel, this surprise addition to the store front could be in preparation for their debut onto Xbox Game Pass in the not-too-distant future – perhaps with an official announcement planned for the upcoming 2024 Game Awards.

Call of Duty Game Pass

So far, just two COD entries can be played through Game Pass; those being last year’s Modern Warfare III and the recently-released Black Ops 6.

That said, with other Activision Blizzard titles finally arriving on Game Pass, the addition of past CODs is inevitable.

KitGuru says: What do you think their addition to the Microsoft Store could mean? Will they drop during The Game Awards? Which of the 3 games would you most be interested in revisiting? Let us know down below.
