Intel Arc “Battlemage” B580 GPU leaks via shipping manifest

Intel's next-gen Arc Battlemage GPUs remain shrouded in mystery, but recent leaks suggest a launch might be closer than we think. While Team Blue has kept silent about its plans, eagle-eyed enthusiasts have spotted what seems to be a desktop Battlemage GPU on a shipping manifest.

Shipping manifests unearthed by NBD (via @josefk972), a service that tracks cargo movements, have revealed listings that appear to be connected to Intel Battlemage. These listings specifically mention “INTEL BMG B580” and its packaging, potentially pointing to a new GPU in the Battlemage family.

However, there's a twist. The listed dimensions (192x89x381mm) of the packaging seem too small to accommodate a full-sized graphics card. This has sparked speculation that the B580 could be a lower-powered variant, perhaps aimed at the mobile or entry-level desktop market.

Interestingly, other listings that don't specifically mention the B580 show larger package sizes, possibly indicating higher-end Battlemage GPUs. While it's difficult to confirm whether these listings are definitively related to Battlemage, the repeated appearance of certain keywords suggests a connection.

Rumours claim that the Battlemage lineup will feature a variety of configurations, with the purported B5x0 model potentially sporting 14 or fewer Xe2 cores and 8GB or 12GB of memory. With AMD and NVIDIA also rumoured to be preparing new GPUs for early next year, Intel has a chance to steal the spotlight with an early Battlemage launch. The Arc Alchemist series, while arriving earlier than its rivals, suffered from performance and pricing issues. Intel will be hoping to avoid that with Battlemage.
