Following the success of the MKey mechanical keyboard, Montech has now introduced the MKey Pro, a new keyboard with a 75% layout. Built with premium materials and a wealth of top-tier features, the MKey Pro is a direct response to the feedback from Montech's community.
Available in two colour themes (Freedom and Darkness), the MKey Pro offers users the option between Gateron G Pro 3.0 Yellow or Brown switches (both pre-lubed). The switches' frosted, light-guided surface enhances backlight brightness, while the upgraded pins ensure stabler and smoother keystrokes. Moreover, using Yuehu's hot-swap sockets, the keyboard supports both 3-pin and 5-pin switches. The included switch puller allows users to swap out switches effortlessly.
As for connectivity options, users can transition between Bluetooth 5.2, Wireless 2.4 GHz, and USB-C wired modes, ensuring a robust connection in any setup. A magnetic cover for dongle storage is included. Designed for endurance, the MKey Pro has impressive battery longevity, providing up to 310 hours of use without ARGB lighting and an astonishing 100,000 hours under standby mode.
At the heart of the MKey Pro's design is its gasket-mounted architecture, complete with poron padding. This structure delivers a quieter and lower-pitched typing sound and effectively absorbs vibrations, enhancing both the tactile and acoustic typing experience. Adding to its functionality, the MKey Pro features a multifunction knob that offers three operational modes, each illuminating the lighting ring in its own way: volume adjustment (blue and white), zoom (red and white), and ARGB lighting control (rainbow).
For the keycaps, Montech decided to use high-grade PBT featuring an OEM profile designed to enhance comfort during prolonged use. In addition, the MKey Pro is fully compatible with VIA and QMK software, allowing users to remap keys and create custom shortcuts and macros easily. The Montech MKey Pro keyboards are now available for $89.90 regardless of switch option and colour option.
