In partnership with Universal, Nintendo has been building its own suite of theme park attractions and locations, with the past few years seeing the opening of Super Nintendo World in Japan and Hollywood. Following a report from last year revealing that the park will be getting a new Donkey Kong themed section, Nintendo has now announced and published a Super Nintendo World Direct to show off the latest addition to its theme park.
Making the announcement on Twitter, the company wrote “Tune in on 11/11 at 2 p.m. PT for a SUPER NINTENDO WORLD Direct livestream! The stream will be roughly 10 minutes and showcase Donkey Kong Country of #SuperNintendoWorld at Universal Studios Japan. No game information will be featured.”
As mentioned, word of a Donkey Kong section was first heard all the way back in December of last year, where it was claimed to be 1.7 times bigger than the current Nintendo World set-up – with a promotional CG video released at the time.
Now, we are able to witness the changes in its full glory. With the Donkey Kong section finally set to be live soon, it will be interesting to see when the other rumoured additions to the park are officially shown off and made available.
