Intel will reportedly update us on Arc Battlemage desktop GPUs soon

Intel hasn't talked much about the Battlemage desktop GPU architecture yet, but that might change soon. According to a recent report on Chinese social media, we should expect to learn more about Intel's next-gen GPUs in December.

Golden Pig Upgrade (via VideoCardz) has hinted that we'll soon hear more about Intel's Battlemage desktop GPU architecture. The leaker's recent post on Weibo suggests that some significant developments may come as early as December.

While the statement lacks specific details, one might wonder if the official announcement might be imminent. If Intel plans to roll out new information, it will likely be in response to the anticipated announcements from AMD (RX 8000 series) and Nvidia (RTX 50 series), which are expected to be announced at CES 2025 in January.

Intel's approach to Battlemage has been notably secretive, with barely any leaks, reports, performance metrics, or possible launch timeframes. Still, the company has previously disclosed details about the Xe2 design and its low-power Core Ultra 200V “Lunar Lake” architecture. Interestingly, earlier rumours suggested that Battlemage could debut before Black Friday, leaving just a few weeks for the announcement.
