Arma 4 is now scheduled to release in 2027

In a move that caught many off guard, Czech game developer Bohemia Interactive chose an unconventional venue to unveil the release date of their highly anticipated title, Arma 4. Instead of the typical announcement or a trailer to share the date (just a year for now), it did so in a concert celebrating its 25th anniversary.

To celebrate its 25th anniversary, Bohemia Interactive hosted a concert featuring music from its titles, including iconic tracks from the Arma series, DayZ, Ylands, and Vigor, all delivered by the Czech National Symphony Orchestra.

The night’s most electrifying moment came towards the end of the performance when, in a fleeting but significant reveal, the Arma 4 logo and its release year illuminated the massive screen behind the orchestra. This blink-and-you-miss-it moment revealed the fourth entry to the series is planned for 2027, so it will still take some time before fans can try it.

The Arma franchise debuted in 2006 and has carved a niche as a PC military simulation series. Following the release of Arma 3 in 2013, fans welcomed Arma Reforger in early access in 2022. Designed as a transitional title to bridge the gap to Arma 4, Reforger was the first Arma game released for the Xbox Series X|S. As such, one might wonder if Arma 4 will also come to the Xbox Series X|S (or a newer Xbox console) or if Bohemia will extend its release to whatever PlayStation we have by then.
