NZXT unveils Z890 motherboards for Intel Core Ultra

NZXT has unveiled its next round of motherboards, ready for Intel's newly announced Core Ultra 200S desktop processors. The new N9 Z890 and N7 Z890 motherboards will be available starting in early 2025, both sporting an ATX form factor and robust feature set suited for gaming enthusiasts.

The N9 Z890 is designed for enthusiast PC gamers looking to build a high-end Intel-based gaming PC and push its performance to the limit. It enables gamers to unlock their peak performance by providing the thermal headroom and tools needed to reliably achieve higher overclocks for the new Intel Core Ultra desktop processors and memory. Meanwhile, the N7 Z890 refreshes NZXT’s existing N7 lineup with a well-balanced ATX motherboard, offering the power and stability required to run any Intel Core Ultra desktop processor, making it an ideal choice for most PC gamers.

Both motherboards support the latest high-speed connectivity standards, including PCIe 5.0, Thunderbolt 4, Bluetooth 5.4 and Bluetooth 5.3 for the N7 Z890, and Wi-Fi 7 for the N9 Z890 and Wi-Fi 6E for the N7 Z890. NZXT has also updated its motherboard shroud design and implemented RGB LEDs for the first time.

Below you will find the key features for both the N9 motherboard and the N7 –

N9 Z890 Key Features:

  • Intel LGA 1851 Socket: Ready for the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra desktop processors (Series 2).
  • Advanced Power Delivery: A robust 20+1+1 power stage design (110A SPS) and an 8-layer, low-loss 2oz copper PCB ensure exceptional stability and overclocking potential.
  • Optimized Thermal Design: Stays cool under pressure thanks to a high-performance VRM heatsink array (fin stack, heat pipe, thermal pads, dual PWM fans) and dedicated heatsinks for all M.2 slots.
  • PCIe 5.0 M.2 Slot: Access PCIe® 5.0 storage speeds with the top M.2 slot, plus four additional PCIe® 4.0 M.2 slots
  • DDR5 Memory: Four dual-channel DDR5 RAM slots accelerate load times, boost frame rates, and enable seamless multitasking.
  • Lightning-fast Connectivity: Support for Wi-Fi 7, 5.0Gb ethernet, and Bluetooth 5.4, and high-fidelity Realtek® ALC4082 audio
  • Integrated NZXT RGB Lighting: Included are two NZXT 8-pin combo fan headers for simple connection and control of NZXT RGB Core single-frame fans and integrated RGB onboard zone controlled through NZXT CAM.

N7 Z890 Key Features:

  • Intel LGA 1851 Socket: Ready for the latest Intel® Core™ Ultra desktop processors (Series 2).
  • Reliable Power Delivery: A 16+1+2 power phase design with 80A DrMOS provides stable and efficient power for critical components.
  • Optimized Thermal Design: Stays cool under pressure with an aluminum VRM heatsink featuring thermal pads for MOSFETs and chokes, plus a dedicated PCIe® 5.0 M.2 heatsink.
  • PCIe 5.0 M.2 Slot: Access PCIe® 5.0 storage speeds with the top M.2 slot, plus three additional PCIe® 4.0 M.2 slots
  • DDR5 Memory: Four dual-channel DDR5 RAM slots accelerate load times, boost frame rates, and enable seamless multitasking.
  • Lightning-fast Connectivity: Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5Gb ethernet, and Bluetooth 5.3.
  • Integrated NZXT RGB Lighting: Included are two NZXT 8-pin combo fan headers for simple connection and control of NZXT RGB Core single-frame fans.

Both new NZXT Intel motherboards will be available starting in Q1 2025. For AMD users, NZXT also has a new AM5 motherboard arriving early next year, which you can get the details of, HERE.
