Thermalright details the Royal Pretor 130 dual-tower CPU cooler

After being announced at Computex, Thermalright has finally shared details on the Royal Pretor 130. This dual-tower CPU cooler stands out with its 130mm fan in the middle and a 120mm fan at the front to ensure plenty of clearance for RAM.

The latest addition to Thermalright's CPU air cooler lineup uses a nickel-plated copper base, six 6mm heat pipes, and a dense fin design on each tower. Available exclusively in white for now, the Royal Pretor 130 (Chinese product page) stands out with its 158mm height, aligning with other models from the brand using 140mm fans.

For those wondering why Thermalright used a 130mm fan instead of a 140mm one, the answer is quite simple. With the 130mm fan in the middle, it doesn't exceed the heatsink's width, preventing it from potentially obstructing other system components.

To optimise memory compatibility, Thermalright employs a 120mm fan at the front, offering 44mm clearance for memory with taller heatsinks. Moreover, to enhance the cooler's performance, the two fans are 28mm-thick instead of the usual 25mm. The front fan is a TL-H12W-X28, capable of spinning up to 2150 rpm to push up to 80.45 CFM with a static pressure of 2.65 mmAq at 29.4 dB(A). As for the 130mm fan, it's a TL-HD13W-X28 that spins up to 1750 rpm to push 81.88 CFM at 2.38 mmAq with a rated noise level of 28.3 dB(A).

The Royal Pretor 130 arrives with Thermalright's typical accessory bundle, featuring a tube of TF7 thermal paste (12.8 W/mK) and an SS2 fixing kit for hassle-free installation on various sockets, including AM4, AM5, 115x, 1200, 1700, 1851, and 20xx.

KitGuru says: Even without a 140mm fan at the centre, the extra thickness of the Royal Pretor 130's fans should compensate for the slightly smaller diameter.
