Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 delayed, will now clash with Avowed in February

Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was announced earlier this year, six years on from the release of the first game. Warhorse Studios' fantastic medieval adventure was due to make a return in 2024, but the sequel has since been delayed to 2025.

When Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 was announced, Warhorse Studios said that it would be releasing in late 2024. Typically, when a game is announced within six months of a planned launch, we expect an exact date and if we don't have one, we immediately begin expecting delays. That has been the case for Obsidian's own fantasy RPG, Avowed, which was also planned for late 2024 and recently delayed to early 2025.

Now, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and Avowed will be clashing on the release calendar in February 2025. Specifically, Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 will release for PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on the 11th of February. Obsidian's Avowed will release just over a week later on the 18th of February.

We'll be getting an extended look at Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 during Gamescom next week, including a Collectors Edition reveal, gameplay previews and a 20-minute gameplay showcase.

KitGuru Says: I loved Kingdom Come Deliverance but seeing that the sequel will now be clashing with Avowed, I'm going to be very torn between which one to start first.
