Rise of the Ronin gets surprise demo

Back in March, developers Team Ninja and publisher Koei Tecmo released Rise of the Ronin exclusively for the PS5. While the game appears to be performing well, an added incentive has now been given for those interested in checking it out – as a demo has now dropped onto the PlayStation Store.

Making the announcement via the PlayStation Blog, Fumihiko Yasuda, the Producer and Director at Team Ninja shared the following:

“We are very pleased that so many players have been enjoying the game since its release on March 22, 2024. We have collected fun play data from all over the world. Here’s a sneak peek at choices players have made while playing Rise of the Ronin.”

Alongside these stats (which can be found HERE), the team revealed that a free demo is also now available for those who have not yet tried the game, saying:

“A free playable demo of Rise of the Ronin is now available for download on the PlayStation Store. You can enjoy the battle with Gonzo…and your save data can be carried over to the full game. For those of you who have not yet played Rise of the Ronin, we encourage you to explore its vast and beautiful world.”

Rise of the Ronin is Team Ninja’s best effort yet when it comes to creating a FromSoftware-esque experience. It’ll be interesting to see just how many players check out the demo.
