AOC’s latest Agon Pro monitors take refresh rates to the extreme

AGON by AOC has unveiled two new displays designed for competitive gaming, the AGON Pro AG246FK and AG256FS. Both monitors have refresh rates of +390 Hz, giving you the advantage over everyone else playing on slower monitors.

The AGON Pro AG246FK  features a 24.1-inch FHD Ultra-Fast TN esports panel with a 540Hz refresh rate. Such speed ensures ultra-smooth gaming with minimal motion blur, providing players with the edge over lower refresh rate monitors. With near-instantaneous visual updates at 540Hz, frame timings of under 1.85ms between individual frames, and pixel transition speeds of up to 0.5ms GtG, gamers can respond faster. Additionally, the panel covers 99.6% of the sRGB and 94.7% of the DCI-P3 colour gamuts and is DisplayHDR 400-certified.

On the other hand, the AGON Pro AG256FS features a 24.5-inch FHD Fast IPS screen. It combines a 390Hz refresh rate with improved colour reproduction, broad viewing angles typical of IPS panels, and up to 1ms GtG response times, providing a more balanced gaming experience. Like the AGON Pro AG246FK, it's DisplayHDR 400-certified. Moreover, the panel covers 99.1% of the sRGB and 84% of the DCI-P3 colour gamuts,

Both monitors include a Motion Blur Reduction (MBR) mode that uses backlight technology to achieve an outstanding 0.3 ms MPRT, resulting in crisp motion and reduced blur in fast-paced games. Additionally, both models feature Adaptive-Sync for variable refresh rates, ensuring tear-free gaming across a wide range of frame rates. Moreover, both models offer three calibrated FPS esports modes with various saturation and pixel overdrive settings for a hassle-free gaming experience from the start.

The ergonomic stand features a durable yet compact base that frees up space for the mouse and keyboard. It also provides tilt, swivel, pivot, and 130mm height adjustment. The built-in USB hub with four USB 3.2 ports offers convenient connectivity options for gaming devices. Additionally, the RGB Light FX function enables synchronisation with other AOC peripherals. A puck-shaped QuickSwitch controller linked to the monitor's USB connection allows gamers to quickly adjust the OSD settings or display presets.

The AGON Pro AG246FK and Pro AG256FS will be released in mid-August 2024. The AG246FK is priced at £599.00, while the AG256FS costs £379.99. Both models come with AGON by AOC's extensive 3-year warranty.
