AMD Ryzen 5 9600X and Ryzen 7 9700X benchmark results spotted

Following the Ryzen 9 9900X Geekbench results shared recently, the first Ryzen 5 9600X and the Ryzen 7 9700X Geekbench entries have now been found, giving us the first glimpse of what these two CPUs will offer.

AMD is set to launch four desktop CPUs as part of the initial Ryzen 9000 series lineup: the 16C/32T Ryzen 9 9950X, the 12C/24T Ryzen 9 9900X, the 8C/16T Ryzen 9 9700X, and the 6C/12T Ryzen 5 9600X.

The Geekbench entries shared by VideoCardz show promising results for SKUs further down the line-up. Both CPUs were tested on an Asus ROG Crosshair X670E Hero motherboard with 32GB of DDR5-6000 memory.

The Ryzen 9 9700X scored 3312 points in the single-core test and 16431 points in the multi-core test. During testing, the 9700X reached a clock speed of 5.57GHz. Compared to the Ryzen 7 7700X, the 9700X outperformed it by 13.7% in single-core performance and 7.6% in multi-core performance.

Moving on to the Ryzen 5 9600X, the upcoming CPU achieved 3284 points in the single-core test and 14594 in the multi-core test. That translates into a 20.9% and 13.8% improvement in single- and multi-core performance, respectively, over the Ryzen 5 7600X. According to the detailed Geekbench results, this CPU operated at a peak clock speed of 5.47GHz.

KitGuru says: Currently, the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X is the only CPU within the AMD Ryzen 9000 line-up that has not been tested yet. However, seeing how things are going, it shouldn't take long before we see the first Geekbench entries of the 16-core CPU show up online.
