Satisfactory officially leaving Early Access in September

Last week, we reported on the news that Satisfactory would be getting a price increase following the release of the game’s 1.0 update. At the time, no specific date was given for when this would be occurring. Now however, it has been officially announced that Satisfactory will be hitting 1.0 this September.

Making the announcement via a comedic teaser video, the team at Coffee Stain Studios revealed that the much-anticipated 1.0 update for Satisfactory will go live on the 10th of September.

What this means is that you’ll have until then to get the game at its discounted price of £27.99 (or just £13.99 as part of the game’s current ongoing sale).

Speaking on the specifics arriving with version 1.0 the team revealed that “Several resource nodes have been added, altered, or removed on the world map, enabling new possibilities to tangle the most beautiful conveyor belt spaghetti to ever grace Planet MASSAGE-2(A-B)b” alongside “changes made to recipe costs, to promote smoother transitions between phases and tiers especially later in the game.”

Beyond this, version 1.0 will also introduce research updates; generator updates; improved optimisations; dedicated servers and more.

Having been in development since 2016, Satisfactory has evolved a great deal over the years, with just one of the major updates bringing the game over to Unreal Engine 5 for some Lumen goodness.
