Konami shares first look at MGS Delta: Snake Eater gameplay

Since its official announcement back in May of last year, many fans of the Metal Gear Solid series have been eagerly awaiting for additional information on MGS Delta: Snake Eater – in particular what gameplay will look like. During the recent Xbox Games Showcase, Konami officially gave us our first look at the much-anticipated remake.

Though we have yet to get a release date (nor a release window), Konami offered a first proper peek at gameplay for Metal Gear Solid Delta: Snake Eater, and while it may not look quite as slick as the last entry from MGS creator Kojima himself – MGS V: The Phantom Pain – both old and new fans alike should find plenty to enjoy with the upcoming remake.

In evolving and updating MGS 3’s gameplay, Konami are including two different control schemes, in which “players can elect for a newly added, more modern control style. You can also choose to play with a classic control style that more closely recreates the feel of the original game.”

Additionally, while we already know that the voice acting will remain identical to the original, the team have promised “all new graphics and 3D audio that enhance the jungle atmosphere.”

Being the first major project from the MGS series since the departure of Kojima, it’ll be interesting to see how the final product winds up looking/playing when it releases at some point in the unknown future.

KitGuru says: What do you think of the gameplay? How do you think it’ll compare to MGS V? Could Delta arrive this year? Let us know down below.
