Philips Evnia introduces entry-level 180Hz gaming monitors

Philips is launching two new entry-level gaming monitors: the Evnia 27M2N3200A and the Evnia 24M2N3200A. These monitors are designed to deliver a good gaming experience in an affordable package, boasting features such as Fast IPS panels, Full HD resolution, a 180Hz refresh rate, HDR10, and Smart Crosshair technology.

The Evnia 27M2N3200A and 24M2N3200A look quite capable for their prices. With their Full HD Fast IPS displays featuring a 180Hz refresh rate, these monitors offer rapid response times, reaching up to 1ms GtG response time (0.5ms MPRT) in maximum overdrive mode. Brightness peaks at 300 nits, and the contrast is around 1000:1. These help the 8-bit display cover up to 95% of the DCI-P3 and 128% of the sRGB colour gamuts.

These monitors also come equipped with various gaming-focused features. Smart Crosshair enhances targeting accuracy, while the easy-to-access OSD provides options for automatic enhancement effects, including FPS mode, racing mode, and RTS mode. In addition to delivering top-notch gaming performance, the Evnia monitors prioritise physical comfort. They feature eye-friendly LowBlue Mode and Flicker-Free technology to reduce eye strain.

The height-adjustable stand offers tilt, swivel, and pivot capabilities and features a top cover that doubles as a headphone hook. Moreover, there are a pair of 2W speakers, 2x HDMI 2.0 ports, a DisplayPort 1.4, and an earphone out jack. The Philips Evnia 27M2N3200A monitor is currently available for £159.99, while the Philips Evnia 24M2N3200A monitor will hit the market in mid-June for £139.99.

KitGuru Says: If you're looking for a cheap gaming monitor, these two Evnia models might be worth considering. If you want an affordable and big screen, the 27-inch model could be a good catch. For those who prefer a higher PPI, the 24-inch would be a better option.
