Lords of the Fallen gets a surprise FINAL ‘final update’

Back in April, the team at Hexworks announced update 1.5 for Lords of the Fallen – the final update for the game, bringing with it a ton of new additions including the ‘Advanced Game Modifier System’. Despite being announced as the last major update for the game, Hexworks has surprised fans with one more final ‘final update’.

Making the announcement on Reddit, the team at Hexworks announced and subsequently released this surprise update, saying:

“Did you really believe VERSION 1.5 – ‘Master of Fate’ was the final chapter in your harrowing journey through Mournstead? Well, it’s time to relight the lantern, Crusader, for yet another adventure awaits…”

They continue, “As requested by a great number of you, today we release ‘Clash of Champions’, a brand new update that throws down the gauntlet to those looking for the ultimate trial of skill and endurance.”

This latest update brings with it two new game modes in the form of ‘Boss Rush’ and ‘Crucible’. Both modes can be played solo or through online co-op, making for a great deal more replayability.

Alongside these new modes, the update also introduces further performance optimisations and more. Full details on the update can be found HERE. It’ll be interesting to see whether this is now the true final update, or if Hexworks still have some surprise ideas up their sleeves.

KitGuru says: What do you think of the update? How has post-launch support for Lords of the Fallen been for you? Do you reckon they have more in the (hex)works? Let us know down below.
