Netflix is adding the Grand Theft Auto definitive edition trilogy in December

Back in October, we learned that Netflix was in talks with Rockstar to secure a selection of Grand Theft Auto titles to bolster its library of games. Now, Netflix has confirmed exactly that, with all subscribers set to gain access to Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – Definitive Edition.

The Grand Theft Auto Trilogy – Definitive Edition packages GTA 3, Vice City and San Andreas in remastered form. The remasters did not garner a great reception at launch due to various bugs and visual issues but much of that has been patched out since.

Netflix subscribers will get access to all three games via the Netflix mobile app for Android and iOS starting on the 14th of December. These are the native mobile versions of the game, so you'll be able to install them directly without relying on streaming.

This is the latest in Netflix's newly formed ambitions. The company has acquired a few independent studios too, which are all working on new projects, some of which are based on some of Netflix's most popular IP, like Stranger Things and Squid Game.

KitGuru Says: If you have Netflix already, then this is a pretty decent value-add if you're looking to revisit the classic Grand Theft Auto games.
