Immortals of Aveum will come to Game Pass and PS Plus

2023 has been a massive year for games, and while this is undeniably a good thing for consumers, it has led to a whole bunch of different titles to fall to the wayside. One such victim was Immortals of Aveum – a brand new IP and the debut title of Ascendant Studios. While it failed to capture an audience, the game looks set to get a second chance at success on Xbox Game Pass and PlayStation Plus.

In an interview conducted by WindowsCentral, Bret Robbins – the CEO of Ascendant Studios – spoke on a number of topics, including Immortals of Aveum’s middling launch, studio layoffs and the game’s latest update.

Interestingly, Robbins was asked whether Immortals of Aveum would eventually find its way onto Xbox Game Pass or PlayStation Plus, and whether being a day-one release on those services would have helped. In response, the CEO candidly stated:

“Certainly, those services give you a wider funnel. More people might engage with the game, that's always good. Yes, we are talking to them about getting the game onto both of those services. We don't have a date yet, I'm pretty sure it's gonna happen, though.”

It’s not often that we get an announcement regarding a game’s inclusion on subscription services in such a way, and so it begs the question as to just how soon official confirmation will be made by either PlayStation or Xbox. We will have to wait and see.
