WB denies that Wonder Woman is a live-service game

Last week, we reported on a job listing which claimed that Warner Bros. upcoming Wonder Woman game will be a live-service title. In the wake of the controversies surrounding WB’s other upcoming superhero game – Rocksteady’s Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League – the publisher has now refuted claims that Wonder Woman will be a live-service game.

As reported by IGN, following a job listing which claimed that Monolith’s Wonder Woman game would in fact be of the live-service variety, the publisher released a statement to the publication, refuting the report, saying:

“Wonder Woman is a single-player action-adventure game set in a dynamic open-world. This third person experience will allow players to become Diana of Themyscira and introduce an original story set in the DC Universe, while also featuring the Nemesis System. Wonder Woman is not being designed as a live service.”

Monolith Productions are known best for having developed the Middle Earth: Shadow of Mordor and War’ duology, debuting the studio’s impressive Nemesis system.

Neither of the Middle Earth titles were live-service experiences, and so it is encouraging to see that the team is seemingly sticking to what they know – making a single-player 3rd-person action adventure experience.
