Redfall patch brings 60FPS to Xbox consoles and increases enemy count

A few months ago following the launch of Redfall, Arkane promised to bring improvements to the game, including a 60FPS performance mode for Xbox consoles. Now seemingly out of nowhere, that update has dropped.

This week, a new Redfall patch began rolling out, bringing a 60FPS performance mode to both Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S. However, Arkane has also made some changes to the core game to try and improve the overall experience too.

Some of these updates include new controller settings and accessibility features, the addition of stealth takedowns and an increase in the number of enemies out in the open world.  These changes aim to bring a bit more action to the game, removing some of the dullness of traversing through the map.

There is no word on further improvements for Redfall, this could well be the point where Arkane moves on to other projects as the game has not gained much traction, with concurrent player counts falling spectacularly low on platforms like Steam.

KitGuru Says: I tried about an hour of Redfall and the key takeaway for me was just how empty the world was, with very few enemies to shoot at. With 60FPS and an increase in open-world enemies, the game should be more fun, or at the very least, it should be easier to find the fun.
