Alienware launches new Aurora R16 with RTX 40 GPUs and Intel 12/13th Gen Core CPUs

Alienware has decided to finally give an update to the well-known Aurora series of pre-built PCs with the Aurora R16. The new desktop represents a marked improvement over its predecessor, incorporating acoustic and thermal enhancements while embracing a sleek new space-saving design.

One of the key achievements of the Aurora R16 is its optimised airflow, resulting in a system that is on average 20% quieter, with CPU temperatures up to 10% lower and GPU temperatures up to 6% lower. Additionally, the desktop boasts a 40% decrease in volume compared to the R15 without sacrificing much of the component compatibility. The visual centrepiece of the Aurora R16 is the oval lighting loop on the left side of the chassis. This loop traces the perimeter of the primary vent, which has a large air intake to increase airflow.

The Aurora R16 offers an impressive array of hardware options under the hood, including Nvidia RTX 40 Series GPUs, 12th and 13th Gen Intel Core desktop processors, Wi-Fi 6 (or 6E) and 2.5 Gbps Ethernet connectivity, and up to 64GB of DDR5 Memory. Additionally, the desktop comes with Windows 11 Home and access to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate (1 month). The new desktop also supports the new Alienware Command Centre, providing a centralised dashboard for gamers to access game-specific profiles, lighting settings, macros, audio controls, and more.

The Aurora R16 is now available for purchase starting at $1749.99, equipped with a 13th Gen Intel Core i7 13700F and Nvidia RTX 4070. In alignment with their commitment to charity, Alienware will be donating to UNICEF for every eligible device purchased between July 20th and September 13th.
