NetherRealm has had a difficult time keeping on top of leaks recently. Pretty much all of Mortal Kombat 1's announcement details were leaked months ago. Back in May, we even learned about plans for the first batch of DLC characters and now, an official reveal has confirmed that leak as completely accurate.
NetherRealm has now released the official reveal trailer for the Kombat Pack roster, confirming that Quan Chi, Omni Man, Ermac and Takeda will be joining the roster as DLC fighters, alongside DC hero Peacemaker and Homelander from The Boys.
This matches leaks from back in May, ahead of Mortal Kombat 1's full reveals in late May and early June. The DLC characters have now officially been confirmed and will be rolled out between the game's release and Spring 2024. After that, we can likely expect a second batch of DLC fighters to be announced.
Mortal Kombat 1 resets the in-game universe to usher in a new era for the franchise. The game will launch on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and Nintendo Switch on the 19th of September.
