Computex 2023: Montech unveils impressive range of cases

Since founding in 2016, Montech has continued to deliver interesting PC cases, while expanding into other areas too, like power supplies. This week at Computex, Leo checked out the Montech booth to get the rundown on what's coming up next.

The first thing we were drawn to at Montech this year was a newly modded version of the King 95 case. This case will be releasing officially later this year, without fans to keep costs down. However, you do get a wonderful curved glass window, which will offer a great view of your internal components. The King 95 also ships with a swappable front panel, so you can opt for greater airflow if needed.

The Sky 2 chassis is also coming this year. While it is somewhat normal looking from the outside, there is a nice RGB light strip going all the way around the front panel. There is also an LCD version of this case, which houses an LCD screen on the front panel. This version will be roughly £40 more expensive but based on some of the prices we've seen for add-on displays at Computex this year, that strikes us as pretty cheap. This is a prototype for now, with Montech planning to make the screen larger and reduce the bezels.

Next up is the Sky 2 GX, which is essentially a second revision of the Sky 2 case, offering more space for cable management and components compared to the original. There is also an Open Frame chassis on show, which is pretty self-explanatory.

Next up we have two cases that share similar DNA – the Air 300 Max and the Air 3000 Max. The former is a cheaper $69 case, offering a more compact build for gaming systems. The Air 3000 Max is a bit more exciting, offering more space to play around with, providing compatibility for high-end components like the RTX 4090 and custom liquid-cooling gear. If you'd prefer, some of that space can be taken up with drive brackets, supporting up to 11 HDDs in the system, making it an ideal case for professionals with large storage requirements. An RGB version will also be available with a $20 price bump over the initial $99 price tag.

The Montech X4 is a budget-oriented case with four RGB fans included. We were told this was going to launch at £59, which seems remarkably cheap. Of course, VAT and distribution costs could add to the final price we see at retail later in the year, but for now, this is a case we'll be keeping our eye on. The final case on show today is the Air 903 Max, available in black and white. The base version includes two fans and starts at $65, while the Max version has three RGB fans and will cost around $75.

In Leo's video you can also get a closer look at Montech's upcoming power supplies, which use Seasonic as the OEM, so they are likely to be very good.
