At Computex this year, Gigabyte has arrived armed with a little bit of everything, from a brand new stealth-design motherboard that hides away all of your power connectors, to new laptops – Leo even dives into a little bit of patent drama as the tour unfolds.

As noted in this year's Computex opening press conference, HPC and AI are huge points of focus for companies at the event this year. Gigabyte is no different, with its subsidiary, Giga Computing, unveiling new super-powered servers equipped with the latest and greatest chips from both Intel and Nvidia.
On the consumer-facing side, Gigabyte has plenty to show. For starters, we get a good look at the new Aero 14 and 16 OLED laptops. The OLED display is the key selling point here, but there is plenty to like under the hood as well, including 13th Gen Intel Core processors, Nvidia RTX 40 series graphics and support for all the latest connectivity standards.
The Aorus 17X 2023 is the new flagship laptop from Gigabyte. While the smaller Aero laptops are limited to up to RTX 4070 graphics, the Aorus 17X can go all the way up to an RTX 4090 and also house Intel's latest flagship laptop CPU, the Core i9-13980HX. In order to use this calibre of hardware, you need an equally good cooling solution, which Gigabyte promises here with its Vapor Chamber cooler design.
Gigabyte Aero motherboards are also on the way, sporting a black and silver look with large aluminium heatsinks and a particularly good I/O selection with plenty of USB ports, something we always love to see. We also get a good look at the Gigabyte Aorus RTX 4080 Master, with its extra-thick heatsink and LCD screen on the side.
The new Gigabyte Stealth motherboard isn't an official product yet, but it is one of several motherboards on show here at Computex that aims to hide all cables. The idea is simple – move all the usual power connectors to the back of the board so you don't have to drag cables through the front of the case. This means you'll have a mess of cables at the back of the case, but the view from your windowed side panel will be all the better for it.
While these motherboard designs are being shown, we've learned here at Computex that someone in the US has filed a patent for this type of design, which is causing some headaches when it comes to bringing these products to market.
