No Man’s Sky’s next major free update is here

No Man’s Sky is the gift that keeps on giving. Just one month after its last major patch (the Fractal Update), Hello Games have simultaneously announced and released their next major update – Interceptor – bringing with it new planets; enemies; improvements and so much more all for the low price of ‘free’

As with pretty much every other No Man’s Sky update, patch 4.2 – the Interceptor Update – brings with it a whole host of improvements as well as a great deal of additional content, with the team saying:

“Explore corrupted planets, fight a legion of challenging new robotic guardians, hijack their technology, steal their ships, harvest their resources, destroy their freighters, and much, much more!” with just some of the more notable changes and additions including:

  • Corrupted Worlds
  • Evolving Story
  • New Ship Class
  • Sentinel Jetpack
  • Abandoned Camps
  • Robot Spiders
  • Improved Combat
  • Sentinel Weaponry
  • Stealth Enemies
  • Capital Ship Battles
  • Custom Wonders
  • VR Improvements
  • New Animations
  • Additional Character Customisation

With every No Man’s Sky update it feels as though Hello Games have overhauled the title – and patch 4.2 is no different. The No Man’s Sky Interceptor Update is available right now and the full patch notes can be found HERE.
