New Intel Xeon processors and W790 chipset will reportedly become available in March

We've known about Intel's new-gen Xeon chips for a while now. Intel is cooking up its next wave of workstation processors and it looks like we'll see the first of these CPUs in action, along with compatible motherboards, before the end of Q1. 

According to Wccftech, Intel's new Xeon W3400 and W2400 series processors will be officially announced on February 15th. The review embargo is expected to be lifted on February 22nd, but the actual launch will be a bit later. The W2400 series chips and the W790 motherboards will be the first to release, between March 8th and March 22nd. As for the W3400 CPUs, these should arrive sometime in April.

Based on previous leaks, the W2400/3400 SKUs will come with up to 56 cores and 112 threads with support for quad and octa-channel DDR5 memory and PCIe 5.0. These chips will offer clock speeds as high as 4.8GHz (via Intel Turbo Boost Max technology 3.0) with TDP ranging between 110W and 350W.

Currently, the pricing of the upcoming chips is unknown. However, if history serves us right, expect them to be considerably more expensive than the company's mainstream solutions.
