No, Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs won’t be launching on February 14th

When AMD initially announced the new generation of Ryzen 7000X3D CPUs at CES 2023, we were left waiting for a launch date. We thought we had one yesterday, when AMD added the launch date to the new processors' spec sheet, but the company quickly backtracked on that move, and issued an official statement regarding its new CPUs.

The addition of the launch date on the spec sheets of the three Ryzen 7000X3D processors was first noticed by Overclock3D, and that let us to believe the new processors would be Valentine's Day (February 14th). However, our excitement was short lived, as AMD later removed this reference and issued a statement denying the CPUs will be launching on February 14th. Here's that statement in full:

“As you know, yesterday AMD.com briefly published a launch date for the Ryzen7000X3D Series Desktop processors, however, that date is incorrect. We have not confirmed a launch date at this time. We will provide updates on the expected availability of these processors at a future date.”

The Ryzen 7000X3D series is comprised of three CPUs: Ryzen 9 7950X3D, Ryzen 9 7900X3D, and Ryzen 7 7800X3D. All three will be based on the Zen 4 architecture and feature 64MB of 3D V-Cache, which promises to offer considerable gains in gaming performance.

As things stand, we are still waiting for official pricing and availability for the new processors.
