Parkour FPS ‘Severed Steel’ is free on the Epic Games Store

For the final two weeks of 2022, Epic Games is giving away a new title for free every single day. Right now, those with an Epic Games account can get their hands on the “stylish single-player FPS” Severed Steel.

Available to add to your library right now (and will remain so until 28th of December at 4pm UK time) Severed Steel is a fast-paced “stylish single-player FPS featuring a fluid stunt system, destructible voxel environments, loads of bullet time, a unique one-armed protagonist, and a dark electronic soundtrack.”

Severed Steel shares more in common with the likes of Neon White and Ghostrunner, with you playing and replaying levels in order to better your score and make even flashier entrances.

With no reloading mechanic, Severed Steel is all-action all the time, with players needing to “pry a loaded weapon from your enemies' cold dead hands. Dodge bullets, leap off walls, slide kick, throw weapons – do whatever it takes to come out on top in intense and frenzied firefights.”

Featuring a fully destructible environment as well as dynamic, unscripted, squad-based AI, Severed Steel will keep you engaged no matter how many times you play and replay a level.

Finally, with an inbuilt community level builder, Severed Steel will keep you entertained long into the future. Not bad for a game being given away for free.

Severed Steel is available to add to your library right now, and will remain so until the 28th of December at 4PM UK time at which point it will be replaced by an as-of-yet unknown title.
