Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition is seemingly coming to Steam

When Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition first launched back in late 2021, it was met with a great deal of criticism due to a litany of bugs, visual glitches – and in the eyes of some a downgrade in art style. The game has since seen multiple patches, and just over one year following its initial release, the trilogy looks set to come to Steam.

As discovered by the Rockstar Games-focused Twitter account ‘VideoTech_’ new code within an update to the Rockstar Games Launcher seems to suggest that Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition will soon leave the confines of the developer’s bespoke PC client and will come to both the Epic Games Store and Steam.

We do not yet know when this will be announced, however when it does arrive, ‘VideoTech_’ believes that it will be accompanied by a patch of some kind. As mentioned, in the year since its launch, Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy – The Definitive Edition has received multiple updates, and while the game is currently in a much better state than it was at launch, the remastered package could certainly do with further improvements and so hopefully this is indeed the case. We will have to wait and see.
