Season 1 of Call of Duty MWII / Warzone 2.0 feels like it has only just begun, and yet we are already hearing about Infinity Ward’s plans for the game’s second season. Months ahead of its launch, the key art for Season 2 of MWII has leaked, revealing among other things, one of the DLC maps coming with the update.
As reported by Ralph Valve via ‘What if Gaming’ Season 2 of MWII / Warzone 2.0 will be bringing with it some familiar faces and places, as the World at War classic map ‘Castle’ is seemingly making a return – thanks to the leakage of some key artwork for the game’s second Season.
That is not all however, as the art also reveals that Warcom operator, ‘Ronin’ would be making a return following his appearance in 2019’s Modern Warfare.
So far, this is all that can be gleaned from the leaked artwork, and so we will have to wait for official details to be released by Infinity Ward. Season 2 of MWII is expected to go live sometime in February following the conclusion of Season 1. It is currently unknown whether there will be any time in between Seasons, and so exact dates cannot yet be calculated.
That being said, with Season 2’s key artwork already complete, Infinity Ward could release the details for Season2 at any time – though considering the fact that Season 1 still has multiple months to go, we will most likely not hear anything official from the team regarding Season 2 until the first Season is nearing its end.
