The Metalfish Y2 is a Mini-ITX PC case that doubles as a fish tank

If you're an avid PC gamer who owns a pet fish, you can now house your system and your little friend in the same space with the Metalfish Y2 case. Divided into two sections, this unique chassis lets you mount your PC on the bottom half and build a habitat for a fish in the top section.

According to the case's product page (via Guru3D), the two halves are divided by a 3mm thick layer of acrylic. As for other aquarium walls, they're 5mm thick. Measuring 370x250x290mm (LxWxH), this 13-litre chassis comes with 2x pre-installed 92mm RGB fans in the intake panel.

Due to its design, only about half of the 13-litre capacity can be used to accommodate PC components, so don't expect to install any ATX motherboards or long graphics cards. In the 245x220mm motherboard tray, you can install M-ATX and Mini-ITX boards. Moreover, there's room for a 2.5-inch drive, up to 90mm tall CPU coolers and 200mm long GPUs (220mm without the pre-installed fans). PSU compatibility is limited to 1U- and Flex-sized units.

The case is available in China, valued at roughly $70 USD, which is quite affordable considering its extravagant looks.

KitGuru says: I don't think any of us have thought about building an aquarium on top of a PC, but clearly someone out there did think it was a good idea. Perhaps the aquarium section could instead be used as a terrarium to house a turtle and remove the anxiety of having a bucket of water on top of your system.
