Troy Baker and Roger Clark are working on 3rd-person thriller ‘Fort Solis’

In November 2021, we reported that Troy Baker and Roger Clark were working on a project together based on a photo shared by Clark to Instagram. During the Summer Game Fest Showcase, this project was finally revealed.

Summer 2022 is officially the Summer of horror, with the upcoming Dead Space Remake; The Callisto Protocol; and now ‘Fort Solis’ all seeing their time in the limelight. Running on Unreal Engine 5 and developed by new studio ‘Fallen Leaf Games’, Fort Solis is “a single player third person thriller set over one long night on the far side of Mars.”

Engineer Jack Leary (Played by Roger Clark) “responds to a routine alarm where events unravel and escalate out of control in a way he could never have imagined”. For the uninitiated, Roger Clark is a relatively new video game actor with very few credits, however he did win an award for his portrayal of Arthur Morgan in one of the best-selling games of all time: Red Dead Redemption 2.

Troy Baker meanwhile is one of the most prolific names in video game acting, having lent his talents to games such as The Last of Us (Joel); BioShock Infinite (Booker DeWitt); Death Stranding (Higgs); God of War (Magni); and Uncharted (Sam Drake) to name but a few. He will be portraying Wyatt Taylor – a medical officer who’s stationed at Fort Solis, said to be “the epicentre of this mystery”. The game is still steeped in unknowns, however what is known is that Troy Baker and Roger Clark’s characters will be in opposition – at least for some of the journey.

The trailer for Fort Solis shows promise, and the talent of the cast is certainly impressive. Hopefully Fallen Leaf Games manage to hit it out of the park with their debut title. An interview involving both Clark and Baker where they discuss the game and their roles within it can be found HERE.
