EzBench is a new UE5-based benchmark with ray tracing and 8K textures

Norwegian developer Eztheory AS has created a free benchmarking tool based on Unreal Engine 5, featuring 8K textures, raytracing and high-quality assets, capable of stressing even the most powerful gaming systems.

The new benchmark tool is already available to download. According to the developer, EzBench is a stress test representing a worst-case scenario, so optimised UE5-based games should run much better than the benchmark. Moreover, the creator also stated that even an RTX 3090 will “sweat” when running this benchmark.

Here are the system requirements to run EzBench:

MINIMUM:

    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 10/11
    • Processor: 7th Gen Intel / Equivalent
    • Memory: 16 GB RAM
    • Graphics: GTX 1080 (or AMD Equivalent)
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 25 GB available space
    • Additional Notes: *Strongly recommend 8GB Vram* It may run on lower specs – however this is a very heavy benchmark tool. Do not expect stable, fluid frames even at minimum system requirements.

RECOMMENDED:

    • Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
    • OS: Windows 10/11
    • Processor: 10th Gen Intel / Equivalent
    • Memory: 32 GB RAM
    • Graphics: RTX 3000 Series (or AMD Equivalent)
    • DirectX: Version 12
    • Storage: 25 GB available space

ComputerBase did a few quick tests with a handful GPUs. Not surprisingly, Nvidia RTX cards scored better due to the benchmark's raytracing implementation. Based on their testing, the RTX 2080 Ti scored around 22,200 points at 1080p, while the Radeon RX 6700 XT delivers around 13,800 points. Lastly, an RTX 3090-powered system got over 39,000 points at the same resolution. Those planning to download EzBench can do it via Steam for free.
