Contrary to the claim from Dolmen's developers, Intel XeSS won't be available in the game at launch, meaning XeSS won't release on May 20th after all. Instead, the new upscaling tech will debut this summer, with no specific date announced yet.
It wasn't long ago that Dolmen's studio stated that their new game would receive a day one patch, introducing support for Intel XeSS. That seemed too good to be true, considering Intel had noted the new technology would only release this summer. Moreover, Intel has yet to release desktop GPUs, while there are also some issues with the availability of laptops using Arc mobile chips.

Announcing that XeSS was coming on May 20th was indeed a mistake, as the developers have used Twitter to correct themselves. After all, Intel XeSS will only be introduced to Dolmen in early summer, potentially rivalling AMD FSR 2.0 and Nvidia DLSS 2.0 technologies.
Besides Dolmen, other games that are hinted at supporting Intel XeSS starting early summer include Shadow of the Tomb Raider, GRID: Legends, Ghostwire, Death Stranding, The Settlers, Hitman III and more.
