First Intel Arc laptops appear to be launching in South Korea

There was concern over Intel's Arc Mobile GPU launch this week, as few OEMs have begun announcing new laptops with Arc graphics equipped. The first Intel Arc laptops are on the way though, with the first units from Samsung arriving in South Korea, with other OEMs expected to launch new laptops ‘in the coming weeks'.

According to VideoCardz, the only laptop currently available in South Korea with an Intel Arc mobile GPU is the Samsung Galaxy Book2 Pro (Korean page). For now, it looks like there's only one model that features the GPU, and that's the NT950XEE-XD72S, which also packs a Core i7-1260P and a 1080p AMOLED display. The Intel Arc Alchemist GPU it sports is the A350M.

Currently, Samsung is running a promotion on this laptop, reducing its price from £1,954 to £1,635 (converted price). At this price, it rivals the Dell XPS line and higher-tier Asus Zenbooks. Considering it has 32GB of LPRDDR5 memory and 1TB of SSD storage, it could be a suitable alternative to these two, but the 1080p resolution might be a turnoff for some.

Besides Samsung, other OEMs should start releasing more laptops with Arc GPUs worldwide in the coming weeks.

KitGuru says: The rollout is slower than anticipated but the first Arc-equipped laptops are on the way. Hopefully we can start to put them head to head against the competition soon.
