Ghostwire Tokyo PC system requirements and ray-tracing requirements revealed

While Ghostwire: Tokyo is a PS5 exclusive for consoles, the game is also coming to PC on day-one. Last month, Bethesda released the preliminary PC system requirements, but now just a couple of days ahead of release, the PC system requirements have been updated, this time including system requirements for ray-tracing.

Ghostwire: Tokyo will support ray-traced reflections, shadows and global illumination. Having all of these effects switched on can result in a pretty big performance dip, so naturally, the system requirements for using RT effects are much higher than the standard minimum and recommended specs.

The full PC system requirements for Ghostwire: Tokyo can be found below:

Minimum (720p, low)

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10 version 1909 or higher
  • Processor: Core I7 4770K or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • Memory: 12GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1060 or AMD RX 5500 XT (VRAM 6 GB or higher)
  • Storage: 20GB available space

Recommended (1080p, high)

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10 version 1909 or higher
  • Processor: Core I7 6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia GTX 1080 or AMD RX 5600 XT (VRAM 6 GB or higher)
  • Storage: 20GB available space

Highest (4K, max settings, no ray-tracing)

  • OS: 64-bit Windows 10 version 1909 or higher
  • Processor: Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600X
  • Memory: 16GB RAM
  • Graphics: Nvidia RTX 2080S or AMD RX 6800 XT
  • Storage 20GB available space (SSD)

For ray-tracing, the system requirements jump up a bit. Disappointingly, each spec listed targets 30FPS, so getting up to 60FPS or beyond may be quite challenging. For RT minimum settings (1080p), you are going to want an Intel Core i7-8700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600 CPU, 16GB of RAM and an RTX 2060 or RX 6700 XT graphics card. The RT Recommended spec targets 1440p/30FPS and calls for a Core i7-8700 or Ryzen 5 5600 CPU, 16GB of RAM and an RTX 3070 or RX 6800 graphics card. Finally, for the highest RT settings at 4K/30FPS, you'll need at least an RTX 3080 or RX 6900 XT graphics card.

Ghostwire: Tokyo will release on PC and PS5 on the 25th of March. In March 2023, the game’s time exclusivity will run out, at which point, it should also come to Xbox consoles, as well as Xbox Game Pass for PC and console.

KitGuru Says: Ghostwire: Tokyo looked great during the recent gameplay showcase. Are any of you thinking about picking this up next month?
