AMD EPYC 7003x specifications leak ahead of release

It looks like AMD will launch the EPYC 7003x series of processors later today. According to a new leak, AMD will unveil its new server CPUs shortly, with up to 64C/128T, 3D V-cache and a maximum cTDP of 280W.

The folks at VideoCardz have gained access to some of the presentation slides from the upcoming 3rd Gen AMD EPYC announcement. One slide gives us a table of specifications, showing four EPYC 7003x SKUs featuring up to 64x cores and a maximum cTDP of 280W. In addition, all chips come with 8x CCDs (Compute Core Die), 768MB of L3 cache, 8x DDR memory channels and x128 PCIe 4.0 lanes.

At the top of the table, there's the 64C/128T EPYC 7773x with a 2.2GHz base frequency, a 3.5GHz boost frequency, and a default TDP set at 280W. Priced at $8,800, this chip will be the flagship CPU of the series. Then we have the EPYC 7573x, also with a 280W default TDP. Still, this CPU's base and boost frequencies are higher than the flagship EPYC 7003x SKU, set at 2.8GHz and 3.6GHz, respectively. As for pricing, it will cost $5,590.

Next up we have the 24C/48T EPYC 7473x with a default TDP of 240W, and 2.8GHz/3.7GHz base/boost clock speeds. At $3,900, this will be the cheapest processor of the series. Lastly, there's the EPYC 7373x, which is the highest clocked of all four SKUs. Even with a base frequency of 3.05GHz and a boost frequency of 3.8GHz, the chip's default TDP is 240W. Despite having fewer cores than the EPYC 7473x, it's slightly more expensive at $4,185.

We don't know when AMD will make this announcement official, but we'll keep an eye out for updates.
