Final Fantasy 7 Remake PC system requirements announced

Chances are you've heard by now that Final Fantasy 7 Remake is coming to PC this week. The launch has faced some controversy due to an Epic Games Store exclusivity deal and high pricing. For those not deterred by those factors, the PC system requirements have now been revealed, with the minimum requirements targeting sub-1080p resolution, and the recommended requirements targeting 1440p.

The PC version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake is a port of the PS5 version, which includes the Intergrade DLC, a small standalone campaign featuring focused on the character Yuffie Kisaragi. The PC version will support up to 4K resolution, up to 120 frames per second gameplay, as well as support for Xbox and PlayStation controllers, as well as keyboard and mouse setups. Presumably, there will also be a suite of graphics options in the menu, but these have not been detailed yet.

In the gallery above, you can see the first PC screenshots, giving us an idea of what to expect in terms of graphics and visual fidelity. The game's minimum PC system requirements include:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i5-3330 or AMD FX-8350
  • Memory: 8GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 780 or AMD Radeon RX 480
  • Storage: 100GB

The recommended PC system requirements include:

  • OS: Windows 10 64-bit
  • CPU: Intel Core i7-3770 or AMD Ryzen 3 3100
  • Memory: 12GB
  • GPU: Nvidia GeForce GTX 1080 or AMD Radeon RX 5700
  • Storage: 100GB

Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade will release on PC on the 16th of December via the Epic Games Store, priced at $69.99. There is no word on whether or not the game will eventually make its way over to Steam.

KitGuru Says: These system requirements are pretty tame. Now we'll just have to wait and see how well the PC version holds up in terms of optimisation and performance.
