The RTX 2060 might be making a comeback with 12GB of VRAM

Rumours of Nvidia releasing a new RTX 2060 SKU have been floating around for a while, but there is finally some hard evidence available. This week, listings for several Gigabyte RTX 2060 12GB graphics cards  were spotted on the EEC database.

The EEC listings were first spotted by Twitter user @momomo_us. As we can see in the listing, Gigabyte is preparing four new RTX 2060 SKUs with 12GB of memory, presumably GDDR6. This memory is expected to use a 192-bit memory bus and should be accompanied by the same TU106 GPU found on the RTX 2060 and Super variant.

Besides the amount of VRAM the cards feature, the cards' names also suggest that two of them will feature Gigabyte's Windforce cooling solution, while the other two SKUs will use a different 2-fan cooler. Two of these graphics cards will come factory overclocked.

Apparently this RTX 2060 comeback is due to take place in December, but nothing has been officially announced at this time.

KitGuru says: Since the RTX 2060 uses a different process node than the RTX 30 series, it shouldn't impact on newer graphics card production. With that said, nothing has been confirmed yet, so we'll have to keep an eye out for updates.
