PNY details specs for Performance and Gaming series DDR5 memory

Back in August, PNY unveiled its first DDR5 memory modules, promising 4800MHz speeds. Now a few months later, the first DDR5-supported platform is available, with Intel 12th Gen Core processors and Z690 motherboards beginning to roll out. In the months ahead of launch, PNY was able to improve its DDR5 modules, delivering new kits with up to 5600MHz speeds.

There are three lines of PNY DDR5 memory, the XLR8 Gaming MAKO RGB, the XLR8 Gaming MAKO and the PNY Performance DDR5 series. These memory modules have already been tested and validated with motherboard partners, including ASRock, ASUS, Gigabyte and MSI to ensure compatibility. All three models are also compatible with Intel XMP 3.0, enabling breakthrough speeds well above what was possible on DDR4.

Below you can see the specifications for all three PNY DDR5 memory modules:

XLR8 Gaming MAKO RGB:

  • Frequency: 5600MHz (PC5-44800)
  • Voltage: 1.25V
  • CAS Latency: 36
  • Integrated aluminium heat spreader
  • Integrated RGB illumination
  • Warranty: Limited Lifetime

XLR8 Gaming MAKO:

  • Frequency: 5600MHz (PC5-44800)
  • Voltage: 1.25V
  • CAS Latency:36
  • Integrated aluminium heat spreader
  • Warranty: Limited Lifetime

PNY Performance DDR5:

  • Frequency: 4800MHz (PC5-38400)
  • Voltage: 1.1V
  • CAS Latency: 40

PNY Performance DDR5 memory will be available first, starting in mid-November, followed by MAKO and MAKO RGB models in late Q4 2021.
