Guru downtime and issues

Well here we are a month later and I just wanted to update our readers. When we opened in May we had hopes the site would get decent hits, but in all honesty our hit rate has exceeded anything we could have imagined. As such the site is often inaccessible as the server can not cope with the traffic – last night the server crashed multiple times with interest in several articles.

Today we are planning to move the server across to a vastly improved solution (more on this later) however there are some aspects of this move we need to address first, therefore we aren't sure of the exact time. We aim to make sure the move is as painless and fast as possible and that any downtime is minimised. Please be aware however the site will need to resolve DNS so depending on your location it could be inaccessible for a few days.

In the interim, please feel free to check out our news and reviews indexes to catch up on our content published in May and June.

Normal service will resume as soon as possible.
