GTA V comes to PS5 in March 2022

Back during the PS5 reveal event it was announced that GTA V would be getting ANOTHER remaster, this time bringing the game to the PS5. Known as the ‘Expanded and Enhanced’ edition, very little was known about the game. Finally, we have more details about what to expect, including when the game is launching.

Announced during the recent PlayStation showcase, GTA V and GTA Online will officially be coming to the PS5 in March 2022. While we still do not know too much about what upgrades are in store, some of the enhancements include “a range of technical and graphical improvements across the entire experience including performance enhancements for select vehicles in GTA Online, and so much more.”

One of the upgrades that were detailed was the fact that the PS5 version will come with “seamless character switching”. On the previous-gen versions of the game, switching between Trevor, Michael and Franklin could take a surprising amount of time. One of the biggest advantages seen with the PS5 however is just how fast its loading is, suggesting a much more fluid experience on the PS5.

Furthermore, the speed of some cars seems to be increasing thanks to the new consoles being able to render the world much faster. Aside from these upgrades however, very little is known about the game. With how long GTA V is taking to come to next-gen systems, Rockstar are building up a dangerous amount of expectations with GTA V. If improvements are limited to frame rate, resolution and loading times, Rockstar will find themselves at the receiving end of a lot of disappointment.
