AMD Zen 4 Ryzen processors may come with integrated graphics

We've seen a few internal document leaks recently, revealing new information about AMD's upcoming processors and motherboards. In a newly discovered document, we learn that AMD's upcoming Zen 4 processors for the AM5 platform will support integrated graphics.

The leak was first publicised by Chips and Cheese, showing off a table with Zen 4 processors listed and divided into three types. At the bottom of this table, there's a note stating that “some OPNs… may not support GFX,” suggesting that there should be SKUs with and without an iGPU. It's unclear which graphics architecture will be employed, but a previous rumour pointed to the RDNA 2 architecture.

The three processor types are very similar, with minor differences. While type 1 has a Model 40h supporting  3x USB-C 3.2 ports and a Model 44h with 2x USB4 ports and a USB-C 3.2 port, type 2 only has the former and type 3 has the latter. Moreover, type 2 processors will be the only ones featuring 28x PCIe lanes.

Starting with the AM5 processors, it seems that the G-series Ryzen chips won't be the only ones featuring an iGPU. Most likely, AMD will launch processors with the iGPU enabled and some with the iGPU disabled.
